What makes a good wash stone

In a stone-wash cycle the pumice does the work. These are the points we control before a lot leaves the plant.

  • Nevşehir origin

Acidic white pumice from the Cappadocia deposits, known for its light weight and consistent pore structure.

  • Washed

Washed at the plant to remove fines and clay, so less sludge reaches your machines and drains.

  • Cleaned of foreign stones

Dark volcanic pebbles, contaminants and metal-oxide bearing stones are sorted out.

  • Calibrated and rounded

Screened to size and tumbled until the sharp edges are gone. Round stones abrade without tearing.

  • Low iron content

Low Fe₂O₃ lowers the risk of rust spots and yellowing on light and bleached washes.

  • Packed for sea freight

Strong bags that survive loading, transit and storage at destination without splitting.

About Cebeci Group

Cebeci Group started in Çorlu in 2005, in the middle of one of Türkiye’s largest textile and denim clusters. Our business grew around the denim laundry: first as a supplier of Michelin inner tubes for dry processing, then of stenter spare parts, washing accessories and, today, pumice.

We sell under our registered CBI brand and export to customers around the world. Besides our head office in Türkiye we run our own company in Karachi, Cebeci Pakistan Group, which supports customers in South Asia.

Our approach is simple: good material at a fair price, delivered when promised, and a named person to call when something needs attention.

Frequently asked questions

Send us your fabric and wash program and we will recommend a grade.

What is stone-wash pumice?

Stone-wash pumice is natural volcanic pumice that has been washed, sized and rounded for use in industrial washing machines. Tumbled together with denim garments, it abrades the indigo surface to create a worn, faded look.

Why is pumice from Nevşehir, Türkiye used for denim?

Nevşehir white pumice is light, highly porous and low in iron. It floats and abrades evenly, wears down at a predictable rate and leaves little colour of its own on the fabric, which makes it a common choice for denim laundries.

Which pumice size should I use?

We supply two sizes. 2–4 cm gives an even, softer abrasion and suits most light to mid-weight denim. 3–5 cm hits harder and gives stronger contrast on heavier denim and jackets. Many laundries keep both and use them for different programs.

Why does iron content matter?

Iron-bearing stones can leave rust spots or a yellow cast, especially after bleaching. Our pumice is low in iron, and darker volcanic stones that contain metal oxides are removed during cleaning.

How is the pumice packed and shipped?

In woven polypropylene bags or FIBC big bags, loaded into 20′ or 40′ HC containers. We quote FOB, CFR or CIF to the port you name.

Can I order more than one grade in a container?

Yes. Mixed-grade containers are common. Tell us the split and we will plan the loading.

Which countries do you export to?

We export worldwide. We quote to any port that can receive a sea container, in Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East. We also have our own company in Karachi, Pakistan, for customers in South Asia.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Please contact us with your fabric and wash program. Our team will advise on the grade and arrange a sample where possible.
